Update (finally)

For someone that spends most of her time sitting at her desk in front of her computer, I really don't update this very often.
I aim to change that.
I feel like I'm in a routine now. Hopefully.
Moving house is surprisingly disruptive.

Anyway!
Here's a little update for everyone and what I'm currently working on.

-Like A Supernova is finished and available in Kindle and Paperback formats from Amazon! (Yay!) Links are available through the 'Novels' section of my blog.

-I was a part of an Author Event that my local library put on. It was incredible. I was a little dubious before it but it was amazing! There were a few other authors that spoke along with me about their processes and I felt I learnt a lot along with the audience, so that's good! I might upload a separate post with my talk and general questions etc, just so that it gets a wider audience. :)

-I'm still manically editing my next book due for release in November. It's so far been my longest project to date (I started it four years ago!), but it's the one I'm most excited about. These characters have a special place in my heart and I can't quite let go of it just yet.

-I'm also writing the first draft for my fifth book (due for release early next year). This book is intense, guys, let me tell you. I'm trying my hardest to let my brain switch off for the initial draft of this book, to let the characters take the story where it needs to go, but I'm struggling with some of the details of it. Eh, I'll let you know more about that when I get closer to the release (i.e. blurb, cover, name reveal.)

-With all the writing stuff happening, I'm also swamped with art projects. My Etsy store is re-opening on August 1st and with that comes a whole lot of anxieties that are coming up again (I had an Etsy store a few years ago and it ended badly. That's all I'm going to say about it.) BUT! Staying busy is helping and trying to turn my head off to focus on my goals is the way to do that!

-Along with the Etsy store, I'm in the beginning stages of drawing a new comic. (Script is all done, characters are all done, theme is all done...now for the drawing.) I'm a little nervous, but I'm determined to actually do it. I keep putting it off thinking I'm not good enough yet, but the only way I will be good enough is if I actually commit to it.

And that's pretty much it for now! I'm attempting one YouTube video up a week to go along with it all. (All art related at this stage. If there's anything about writing I should do a video on, please let me know.) I'm not great with structure, so we'll see how my little routine goes long-term. I do plan to look at this blog more than I currently do as well.  :)

THAT'S ALL, FOLKS.
Have a lovely day/night/week, wherever you are.

Love,
Amy xx

The Love Incidents - Blurb

While I'm waiting for my proof copy of The Love Incidents to arrive (before I can actually say it's out), I thought I would post the blurb and a little bit about the book! The Love Incidents When four very different women are chosen to write a book about the modern women’s view on sex, they think it’ll be an easy assignment. And an easier paycheck. Or is it? Miller Derby is engaged to a man she  isn't  sure she loves and Jessa Malliver is content with one night stands to stop thinking about the boy who broke her heart into a million pieces; Hope Young is desperately trying to forget about how lonely she is since her divorce and Pippa Forrest is trying to remain in control of her heart by enforcing strict rules on her friend with benefits. Despite their differences, the four become friends, learning secrets and telling lies along the way. But when their lives start to overlap and the secrets start to come out, their newfound friendship is stretched to the lim...
