August Reading!

Hello! So, I thought I would start a new thing of posting on here all the books I have read (or started to read) at the end of each month! I don't read as much when I'm writing, so there'll be some quite short months while other months will be quite filled with books! They will all be very non-spoilery. Practically non-reviewy. I'm not very good at reviewing other' writer's. Mainly cause I know the work that goes into writing! I can't believe it's September already! I've already started on Christmas plans. Hmm...I wonder if my boyfriend will notice if I start putting up some decorations? (Christmas lover over here, don't mind me.) ANYWAY, back to books. AUGUST. Okay, so my list for this month was actually surprisingly long. While I didn't finish them all (I mean, look at A Little Life!), I certainly got a lot of reading done! I'm back to writing again in September, meaning this list will be quite a bit shorter (and probably ...

The Love Incidents - Blurb

While I'm waiting for my proof copy of The Love Incidents to arrive (before I can actually say it's out), I thought I would post the blurb and a little bit about the book! The Love Incidents When four very different women are chosen to write a book about the modern women’s view on sex, they think it’ll be an easy assignment. And an easier paycheck. Or is it? Miller Derby is engaged to a man she  isn't  sure she loves and Jessa Malliver is content with one night stands to stop thinking about the boy who broke her heart into a million pieces; Hope Young is desperately trying to forget about how lonely she is since her divorce and Pippa Forrest is trying to remain in control of her heart by enforcing strict rules on her friend with benefits. Despite their differences, the four become friends, learning secrets and telling lies along the way. But when their lives start to overlap and the secrets start to come out, their newfound friendship is stretched to the lim...

The Love Incidents - Cover Reveal!

The Love Incidents! I'm here with the cover (finally) of my latest novel, 'The Love Incidents'. I originally said that this was going to be a quick release on the 25th (tomorrow!), but I'm moving it forward a week, so I can make sure it's okay. (And I still haven't written the blurb yet. Oops) Regardless! Here is the coverrrr.... Pretty simple. I didn't want to spend too much time on this one. I don't really know what to say about it, really. It's my handwriting and....yep, can't think of anything else.  Blurb coming soon!  Love,  Amy  xx P.S. My blog is currently going through some changes in regards to layout and theme and all the lovely stuff that needs to be updated. If it looks at all strange, it's because I'm still trying to figure it all out. Yay! Lots more stuff to come! (If I can haul myself out of HTML codes and Blogger's layouts in order to write the stuff I need).

Surprise Release!

Hello, my loves! I was thinking the other day that I didn't have a book coming out for ages (I'm still in first draft stage of one and slow editing stage of another). I didn't like this idea and was thinking of ideas of things I could release or things I can write to keep things being produced. I've currently got a schedule for the next three years of releasing a dramatic (i.e. Like A Supernova) novel a year and one or two contemporary/women's fiction (i.e. Writer's Block) a year. So, as I was looking at my schedule and figuring out the blocks of time I can write/release things in, I remembered I had a book that I had finished the first draft of a year ago that I wasn't doing anything with. It's just sitting on my shelf (well, in this case, my documents folder on my computer) and gathering (virtual) dust. It's not doing anyone a favour by just sitting there only for me to read, is it? SO! July 25th it's being released! In the next couple...

Update (finally)

For someone that spends most of her time sitting at her desk in front of her computer, I really don't update this very often. I aim to change that. I feel like I'm in a routine now. Hopefully. Moving house is surprisingly disruptive. Anyway! Here's a little update for everyone and what I'm currently working on. -Like A Supernova is finished and available in Kindle and Paperback formats from Amazon! (Yay!) Links are available through the ' Novels ' section of my blog. -I was a part of an Author Event that my local library put on. It was incredible. I was a little dubious before it but it was amazing! There were a few other authors that spoke along with me about their processes and I felt I learnt a lot along with the audience, so that's good! I might upload a separate post with my talk and general questions etc, just so that it gets a wider audience. :) -I'm still manically editing my next book due for release in November. It's so far been...

Like A Supernova - Blurb AND Cover reveal!

So, I have been in the middle of moving house and have only just managed to get my computer (with internet) back up and running, but here we go! Like A Supernova cover and blurb reveal! (Finally). Release date isn't until the end of June and I am so eager for it to get here! More on the cover in a second. First though, blurb!  And there we have it! I added the spine design, because I am in love with it! I have a thing for different coloured spines. :) Okay, so a little about the cover. There are three story lines in this book, however the cover is predominantly only one of them.  I wanted the cover to be peaceful, a stark contrast to the lives of the characters in between it. The image is part of a scene from the book which I was lucky enough to find.  Everything else came together perfectly for it. I had the image in mind when I first started writing this book (which is probably why the scene on the boat ended up in the book in the first place) a...

New Announcement!

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying The Dance Of Men. As usual, I have been fairly quiet in between the publication of The Dance Of Men and now because...as you can imagine, I'm busy writing book three!!! Yay! So! The official title announcement of book three is finally here. Book three is called: Like A Supernova Like A Supernova! It's here! It has a name and a plot and (so many) words. I'm really excited for this one.  I actually handwrote the first draft of this story for NaNoWriMo 2015 and it has taken me this much time to get around to getting the courage to pull it out of the drawer and focus on it again. It's one of my favourite (and most dramatic) stories so far, and that makes it all that more exciting!  ALSO, Release dates! Yay! KINDLE RELEASE DATE: June 23, 2017 PAPERBACK RELEASE DATE: June 30, 2017 AH! I'm excited!  Amy xx
